The Binson Echorec...

We are very fortunate and humbled to finally own a Binson Echorec; one of the mythical analogue delay units from yesteryear chiefly made popular by Pink Floyd.





This Binson Echorec is a B1 model from between 1960 and 1965, it is a valve driven piece of equipment and is the oldest yet arguably most inspiring piece of musical equipment I have used, the only item that has come close to this was a 1954 Fender Stratocaster (not a reissue) as seen below.










In short, even though the Echorec is impractical, delicate, ancient, limited and niche by the standards of modern delay and echo units. Should you have one? Simple answer...


Yes.
